Built in the second half of the sixteenth century the little church was replaced by a new building built on eighteenth-century drawing of the famous painter, architect and treatise Jesuit Andrea Pozzo.
The inner elliptical shaped, is decorated with stucco work of considerable value made by the workshop of Siena Mazzuoli, with particular reference to the figure of Bartholomew which includes the four statues of saints arranged on the right and left side of the altar.
The altar is enriched by two semi-painted faux marble and pink in the center, framed by floral motifs, houses a glazed earthenware representing the 'Adoration of the Virgin. The altarpiece is attributed to the workshop of Andrea della Robbia and is circumscribed between the eighties and nineties of the fifteenth century.
In the apse is part of the high-relief image of God the Father Blessing, who, surrounded by pairs of putti and cherubs floating in the air, rising from the material with an elegant posture and gesture emphatically.
