DESCRIPTIVE INFORMATION
The image depicts a Virgin dressed in a precious robe that uniquely recalls the "dalmatic," the deacon's liturgical vestment, which in liturgical symbolism signifies the service of charity. She raises her mantle over a crowd of faithful, in the typical iconography of the "Mater Misericordiae." Among these faithful are two saints dear to the Order of the Servants of Mary: St. Veronica Giuliani on the left and St. Philip Benizi on the right.
