Sodoma's Assumption of the Madonna is a monumental fresco located in the Oratory of San Bernardino in Siena.
The scene is divided into two levels: the Apostles below, surrounding the empty tomb, and Mary ascending to heaven surrounded by flying angels.
To depict the scene, the artist uses a marked illusionism of perspective, blending the painted space with the actual architecture of the oratory.
